Drool worthy.

I am pretty positive these beauties speak for themselves. Need I say more?

They must become a part of my wedding day attire. So I must start saving my pennies.

Real Wedding - David + Emily.

Eventfully Elegant's first real wedding - super exciting! I found these beautiful images on the amazing Lauren Clark Photography blog. I was referred to Lauren's website after asking the well-known Jessica Claire for a Texas Wedding Photographer referral. Jessica was absolutely right! Lauren's work IS fabulous!

Ok, on to the featured weding. David and Emily were married on July 30th in Alto, New Mexico at the Flying J Ranch. The venue, the bride and groom, the bridesmaid dresses, the log cabin, and the rustic elegance are all so extremely stunning. I adore the somewhat casual look and laid back atmosphere this wedding seemed to have.

How sexy is this shot? The turquoise door is an amazing backdrop.

Beautiful bride.

All the maids dresses are from Anthropologie.

The fellas.

The groom.

The fellas again.

I love this shot with the unexpected umbrella hovering over the bride.

Beautiful bouquets.

The look on the officiants face is priceless. And how gorgeous are those pillars?!

Umm...stunning much?

Our special little ladies.

There will be two special little ladies walking down the aisle shortly before I make my appearance. Hannah will be 7 by the time October rolls around, and Aspen will be just over a year old. I started looking at Flower Girl attire yesterday. I knew I wanted something classic and timeless, something that we could dress up by adding hair accessories, a cardigan and cute shoes - no bows, no tulle and no overwhelmingly huge flowers. So after hours upon hours of searching for the perfect dress, I think I finally "the one" at J. Crew.

The perfect venue.

Ever since J got down on one knee, professed his love to me, asked me to marry him and slipped that shiny gem on my left ring finger, I have been on the hunt for the perfect wedding venue. We knew we wanted to have the ceremony outdoors, and the reception indoors, as an October evening can be a bit chilly. We were looking for something more on the casual side that we could add decor to, to dress it up if needed. So, I scoured the internet, Texas Wedding Magazines, blogs and message boards, but never found anything that we really loved. After feeling a bit discouraged from looking and looking some more, I asked J what he thought about having a semi-destination wedding in Austin. He was not opposed to the idea, so I immediately started looking at venues in Austin. Theknot.com was the first website I headed to and within approximately ten minutes I had found a handful of sites I envisioned saying our I do's at. Within the next week or so, I made some phone calls, and conversed through email with these venues. Some of them ended up being booked the weekend of our set wedding date, and some of them were a bit on the pricey side, so I kept looking. Then finally! I stumbled across an Austin Florists blog - the latest post was covering the grand re-opening of a venue thirty minutes outside of Austin. I browsed through the pictures of the event at this venue and knew that this is where our nuptials would take place.

The ceremony will take place in the amphitheatre surrounded by large oak trees, which overlooks the hill country, and the reception will take place inside the newly constructed barn, which was built to look like it's been around for 50+ years. There are two suites on the third floor, each for the bride and groom to get glammed up in before making our initial debuts, while the second floor can be used as a second bar, additional seating or an area to overlook the party down below. It is perfect! I love it!
